Allergic gingival overgrowth

Di Punzio M.

Private Practice, Rome, Italy

PDF

The cause of a gingival inflammation is generally based on a plaque mass. It cannot been removed for patient’s carelessness, for obstacles like incongruent bridgeworks or dental superposotions or gingival overgrowth. The gingival overgrowth can be caused by some drugs (niphedipine, cyclosporine) but can it be caused by the nichel allergy too? The case report shows that, removing the allergen, the marginal gingiva becames normal also with just about invariable concauses.
