The nutriceutic contribution to trophic ulcers and bedsores

Zaccagna C. A., Zullo G.

MMG, ASL n. 5, Rivoli Torinese (Torino)

PDF

The treatment of trophic ulcers and bedsores is based on the knowledge of the substratum on which these lesions have grown up. According to the authors’ experience, the preparation of cell ground by application of nutritional norms reducing free radicals into diseased tissues, is very important. By now, the importance of cytotoxic action of these metabolic products for the tissue regeneration, is universally accepted. Therefore, the authors suggest a series of nutriceutic proposals such as blood group diet, fatty-acids to adsorb micronutrients and anti-oxidative food in order to bring the impaired organism back to a quite good homeostasis, able to repair trophic ulcers. These contrivances obtain excellent results improving the action of topic remedies (deantigenated collagens) and saving money from the expenses which these diseases usually require.
