The case of a deep vein thrombosis occurring in a 42-year-old man with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma we reported. Deep vein thrombosis was treated with unfractioned heparin, but thrombophilia was persistent and testified by high plasma rate of prothrombin 1+2 fragment (F 1+2). This case suggests that there is a thrombophilic state in the natural history of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and thrombosis can occur as an early or late sign of the disease.
