Marked scalloping of vertebral bodies in a case of ependymoma of the filum terminale
Levi N., Dons K.
Department of Neurosurgery, Rigshospitalet, University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark
We report a patient with a very large myxopapillary ependymoma of the spinal cord eroding the lumbar vertebral corpora but successfully treated with surgery. The patient was a 26 year-old woman with a 8 year history of low back pain and weakness of the legs. Treatment was delayed because of unusual social conditions.
