Tietze’s syndrome is a benign condition in which painful enlargement develops in the upper costal cartilages. This disease is to be remembered in the differential diagnosis of the chesty aching. A careful clinical and instrumental evaluation can lead to the diagnosis of this affection, avoiding useless admissions and allarmisms to the patient.
