The eventuality that 2 or more tumours are present in the same subject is not frequent with an incidence ranging from 1.5% to 8%. The authors describe the case of a 68-year-old man suffering from solitary multiforme glioblastoma, submitted to combined treatment (total removal and chemotherapy), died 4 months after treatment for a multiple glioblastoma. It is possible that chemotherapy did not protect patients against the occurrence of a second lesion and, perhaps, may have an inductive effect, as observed by some authors.
