Eccrine poroma is usually described as a rare benign tumor derived from the most apical portion of the eccrine sweat gland (acrosyringium), even though in Literature it is stated that it can derive from eccrine, apocrine or mixed glands. This article describes three cases of eccrine poroma, chosen due to their particular clinical presentation, unusual onset and difficult clinical diagnosis. Furthermore, the authors discuss possible malignant degeneration and the usefulness of dermoscopy in reaching a more correct diagnosis of this pathology. Lastly, this paper discusses differing opinions, taking into consideration all peculiar aspects published in the Literature.
