Glomus tumor (or glomangioma) is a benign neoplasia that origins from smooths muscular cells of a glomus body. It can either solitary or multiple. The solitary acquired form is more common and is clinically characterized by a painful reddish-purple nodule, with a predilection for subungueal region; nevertheless it can occur in any anatomical site. We describe the case of a 42-year-old woman with a neoformation present for some months on the nail bed of the first finger of the right hand.
