Contact dermatitis, or contact eczema, is an inflammatory skin disease with acute, subacute or chronic evolution. Its clinical manifestations are itchy erythematous vesicles that eventually evolve towards lichenification. Occupational contact eczema is the most common form of contact dermatitis as well as the most frequent of occupational diseases. We report the case of a woman with hand eczema linked by her employment; she prepares handmade cakes and manipulates food coloring, that caused her a severe delayed hypersensitivity reaction.
