Eruptive nevi of the palms and soles
Scarabelli G., Balice Y., Crippa D.
U.O.S.C. di Dermatologia, A.O. San Gerardo, Monza, Università degli studi Milano Bicocca
The sudden eruption of atypical, benign melanocytic nevi has been associated with a number of cutaneous and systemic pathologies. In most cases the association is with bullous cutaneous pathologies and with states of immunodepression. Although the total number of nevi and the presence of dysplastic nevi have been correlated with an increased relative risk of melanoma, the real risk of developing melanoma in patients with eruptive nevi is unknown. Here we report the first case of eruptive nevi of the palms and soles in a patient in excellent general health.
