RESULTS: Patients (N.=218) with enterocutaneous fistulas were enrolled in the study, including 41 patients with CFs. Firstly, there was no difference between the colonic fistula group and other fistulas group in age, classification of fistula, the level of hospital for their first visited, whether to accept definitive surgery, cure rate, and primary disease. Furthermore, the cure rate of patients had visited secondary hospital firstly was significantly higher than that of patients had visited tertiary hospital firstly (P=0.039). Thirdly, the cure rate of patients with tumor was significantly higher than that of patients with trauma and other diseases (P=0.049).
