Superficial temporal artery (STA) pseudoaneurysms are uncommon vascular lesions mainly associated to blunt head trauma. Although the diagnosis seems easily performed with medical history and physical examination, careful must be taken because their differential diagnosis is broad and may include lipoma, cyst, hematoma, abscess, angiofibroma and arteriovenous fistula. Although there is no established criteria regarding whether to treat or observe, surgical ligation and ressection of the aneurysmal segment is the treatment of choice for the great majority of surgeons. This report describes a case of traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the STA treated surgically.
