Mucocele (M) of rectal stump is a rare complication of colorectal surgery. It is difficult to diagnose preoperatively or directly in surgical theatre. It is usually diagnosed by histological examination. In this case report a case of rectal stump M following high anterior resection for sigmoidal cancer is presented.
