Ugurlucan M., Alpagut U., Tireli E., Dayioglu E.
Department of Cardiovascular Surgery Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty, Istanbul, Turkey
Isolated dissection at the abdominal segment of the aorta is an extremely rare condition. Etiology is not clear; however, there are only a few cases in the literature reported to be spontaneous. In this report, we present a 61-year-old female patient with dissecting aneurysm of the infrarenal abdominal aorta who had been treated succesfully with replacement of the defective region of the aorta together with a brief review of the literature.
