We describe the occasional finding, on pathologic specimen examination, of a localized focus of carcinoid tumor in a gallbladder removed for chronic lithiasic cholecystitis in a young female. The patient underwent simple cholecystectomy, and is free of disease at one year follow-up. This particular neuroendocrine pathology is rarely affecting the gallbladder, and we believe the case to be of clinical interest regarding particularly the form of presentation, the discussion of therapeutical solutions and follow-up.
