Combined obstruction of the colon: caecal volvulus and carcinoma of the sigmoid colon

Caecal volvulus is a rare cause of large bowel obstruction. A case of caecal volvulus associated with carcinoma of the sigmoid colon is presented. The patient underwent subtotal colectomy and was discharged from the hospital in good health.
