Fournier’s gangrene. Case report and review

A case of Fournier's gangrene recently observed in a diabetic man with severe respiratory insufficiency is reported and a review of the pertinent literature is made. The importance of an early diagnosis for a prompt treatment, based on surgery, antibiotic therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapyes underlined.
