Paraesophageal hernia with partial spleen dislocation

A case of paraesophageal hernia with partial retrocardiac spleen dislocation requiring surgical repair of the diaphragmatic defect and splenectomy is reported. A survey of the literature of this rare pathology is also presented: 324 cases of paraesophageal hernia with one case of splenic intra-thoracic dislocation.
