About tarsal articular complex (tac joint): pericephalic talar destabilisation
Errichiello C.
Centro di Chirurgia del Piede “Prof. G. Pisani”, Clinica “Fornaca di Sessant”, Torino, Italia
The author, following a recent publication by G. Pisani that proposed the coxa pedis enartrosic as the fulcrum of the tarsal articular complex (which involves the talo-calcaneal, talo-calcaneo-navicular and calcaneo-cuboidal joints), refers to diseases characterized by the destabilisation of the coxa pedis, suggesting the most appropriate definition of “pericephalic talar destabilisation” and discussing the concept of “pronation syndrome” from “abnormal subtalar joint pronation”.
