This article examines common chronic foot injuries in runners aged over 50 years, with a focus on the lower extremity (Achilles-calcaneus-plantar structure) in relation to the mechanics of athletic movement. Achilles tendon conditions: complete/partial tendon ruptures (tendinitis, tendinosis); peritendinitis; pre-Achilles bursitis. Insertional diseases: plantar fasciitis; heel spur syndrome; hallux valgus syndrome. Long-duration fractures: metatarsal; fibular supramalleolar; talar; scaphoid; sesamoid. Chronic sports injuries associated with foot functional capability though not directly involving the foot; compartmental syndromes or loggia of the leg (anterolateral, posterior, anterior space) and distal disinsertion of the medial gemellus.
