The vertical talus is a congenital anomaly, frequentely associated with other malformations. It can represents a constant, frequent or occasional sign in some dismorphyc syndromes and, above all, in some chromosomal aberrations. Most of these pathological conditions have a fatal prognosis. Surgery therapy is required for the conditions that allow survival.
