Autologous blood injection for the treatment of chronic recurrent temporomandibular joint dislocation. One-year long-term study

Aim. Aim of this study was to present a method of autologous blood application in treating chronic recurrent dislocation of the temporomandibular joint.
Methods. In the first year of study, 40 patients who had undergone this treatment method were evaluated.
Results. One year after the application no recurrence was noticed; likewise no intra-articular complication developed.
Conclusion. The success of the treatment method was 85% (34 patients).
