The need of visualize in the three dimensions the osseous structure of the maxillo-facial district led to a continuous research for new methods able to convalidate the clinical diagnosis and to make easier the planning of surgical therapy in patients who had traumatic fractures of the upper maxilla. The quality of the surgical results of this kind of patient is indeed conditioned by the possibility of visualizing presurgically the spatial distribution of the skeletric structure interested by the fracture process. Moreover, the possibility of simulating the operation on the solid replica allows to reduce its duration. Aim of this work is to present a clinical case of multiple fractures of the maxillo-facial district due to a traumatic event and to analyze the quality of a method of solid reconstruction, the PSM, used in the presurgical planning of this patient.
