A ­case of an infec­tive endo­car­ditis ­with myo­car­dial ­abscess ­due to Streptococcus angi­no­sus at a dis­tant loca­tion ­from ­the ­active val­vu­lar infec­tion is report­ed. We con­clude ­that ­local car­diac sup­pu­ra­tive com­pli­ca­tions ­can ­appear in ­the evo­lu­tion of endo­car­ditis ­caused by ­this vir­u­lent organ­ism.
