Fractures of the edentulous mandible are not common, and their repair is a difficult and controversial surgical challenge. Various treatment strategies have been described, with no consensus regarding the treatment of choice. Furthermore, patients are often aged with multiple chronic comorbidities frequently complicating management and leading to higher anaesthetic risks. Therefore, the treatment strategy has to be individualized depending on available bone, degree of comminution, availability of dentures, medical comorbidities, and of course patient preferences. The aim of this article is to present a discuss the management of a case of bifocal mandibular fracture in an edentulous patient with severe comorbidities.
