Postirradiation: basaloid squamous cell carcinoma. A rare case report

Bas­aloid-squa­mous car­ci­noma is a ­highly aggres­sive var­iant of squa­mous ­cell car­ci­noma occur­ring in the ­hypopha­rynx, ­larynx and ­base of the ­tongue. We ­report a ­unique ­case ­involving the ­nasal ­cavity of a ­patient ­with a his­tory of radi­a­tion ­therapy for ­soft ­palate car­ci­noma, ­raising the pos­sibility ­that bas­aloid-squa­mous car­ci­noma can be radi­a­tion-­induced.
