The case of a patient with a plaque on her left clavicular area developing in about 9 months is described. Direct immunofluorescence from a perilesional area showed intercellular deposits of IgG and C3 in the epidermis. Granular deposits of C3 in a linear distribution were also present at the dermo-epidermal junction. No circulating autoantibodies were detected in the serum. The lesion improved in 2 months without any specific treatment. The term localized pemphigus vegetans for this form is proposed.
