The onset of disseminated Kaposi’s sarcoma lesions in a male HIV-negative patient with a clinical history of chronic hepatitis C (HCV) infection and autoimmune thrombocytopenia is reported. Even if HCV infection has been associated with a series of cutaneous diseases, there is no report in the literature as to the association of disseminated Kaposi’s sarcoma and HCV infection in non-AIDS patients. The association could not be casual, in as much as the immune system HCV-related dysregulation could be the triggering factor for the development of Kaposi’s sarcoma.
