Generalized granuloma annulare. Clinical aspects and possible associations with internal diseases
Corazza M., La Malfa W., Zavarini G., Altieri E.
Università degli Studi - Ferrara, Dipartimento Medicina Clinica Sperimentale, Sezione Dermosifilopatica
Three cases of generalized granuloma annulare (GAG) with different clinical patterns (large anular plaques, little plaques and multiple discrete eruptive papules) are described. Dermatoses were respectively present in patients affected by different internal diseases: hyperinsulinism, leukaemia and hepatitis.
In all patients GAG presented a chronic recurrent course which was only partially controlled by different therapies.
The different clinical patterns, the latest age of onset, the chronic-recurrent course and the poor response to therapy characterize generalized granuloma annulare.
