Endovascular options for infrapopliteal arterial disease are growing and drug-eluting stents (DES) are becoming a viable option. Several studies have demonstrated superior patency during one-year follow-up; however, long-term performance of DES in infrapopliteal critical limb ischemia is not well characterized. The following review evaluates the survival, limb salvage, and stent patency at long-term (>2 years) follow-up.
