Surgical ­repair of ven­tric­u­lar sep­tal ­defect asso­ciat­ed with ­absence of right super­i­or vena cava and per­sis­tent left super­i­or vena cava: a case ­report

A ­nine-­month-old boy, ­weighing 4840 g, ­with VSD asso­ciated ­with ­absent ­right ­superior ­vena ­cava and per­sis­tent ­left ­superior ­vena ­cava, suc­cess­fully under­went sur­gical ­repair of VSD. This ­anomaly is ­rare and ­causes ­some sur­gical and elec­tro­phys­io­log­ical prob­lems. We dis­cussed ­these prob­lems and ­described the ­details of sur­gery in our ­case.
