With the depletion of fossils, the current era demands for an alternative to the commercially available fuels. Cost efficiently ethanol production keeping in mind about environment safety will prove itself a boon for the automobile world. It might substantiate to be the paramount promising alternative for the commercial liquid fuels present at this stage of urbanization. For the construction of ecological energy there is a prerequisite for the sustainable assets. With the emergence of the alternative fuel there has been a tremendous increase in the research interest for the production of ethanol using advanced pre-treatment methodologies, fermentation technology, etc. Promising resources for the production of this alternative is the need of this era. For the future re-arrangements of the sustainable economy, researchers are moving ahead with the utilization of field crops broadly termed as biomass. Biomass is the commonest, biodegradable and easily available form of replenishable energy which will in near future aid in the economy and production of ethanol in turn aiding the technology for health and pleasure. Crops offer budding foundation for fuel, contributing large-scale energy based on its genetic multiplicity, climatic adaptation and biomass production. Production of ethanol from replenishable lignocellulose possessions may progress towards the energy accessibility; decline greenhouse gasses (GHG) and weaken carbon dioxide accretion in the environment. Principally, the consumption of these trashes for ethanol production will reduce enslavement on foreign oil and furthermore, this will eliminate dumping problem of trashes and make surroundings safe from pollution.
