Osteitis pubis is a disease predominantly affecting young athletic patients. Nevertheless it may also occur in other specific patient groups suffering from pelvic stress or other underlying bone or joint pathologies. Ostetitis pubis is a part of lower abdominal and pelvic pain differential diagnosis and it should always be considered in the general population as well. We are presenting the case of a 62-year-old, overweight female with prolonged lower abdominal pain that was localized in the pubic symphysis and attributed in the osteitis pubis.
