The upper and lower jaws are the only bones involved in bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis. This pathology can occur in the oral cavity as a result of all those events which facilitate bone infection and development of osteomyelitis. Evaluation by means of imaging techniques, bioptic and laboratory studies are fundamental tools in forming diagnosis. The Authors report a case of mandible fracture in a female patient who had been undergoing bisphosphonate therapy for many years.
