Otitis media is a common problem encountered by both general practitioners and otolaryngologists. With the vast amount of information available, a structured algorithm for management of this prevalent diagnosis may be elusive. This review offers a practical guide to the management of the three most common forms of otitis media: acute otitis media, otitis media with effusion, and chronic suppurative otitis media.
