Benign neoplasias originating in the Schwann cells go by the name of “schwannomas”. They are capsulated lesions which tend to displace the nervous fibres during their growth. Their biological behaviour generally does not lead to malignant transformation. Here the authors report a case of schwannoma of the intraparotid nerve which was important because of the rarity of the lesion and for the related diagnostic-therapeutic and rehabilitative aspects.
