Internal jugular phlebectasia is a very rare venous anomaly usually presenting as a unilateral neck swelling on exertion. colour Doppler ultrasonography is the diagnostic investigation of choice. Conservative management is recommended in uncomplicated cases. We present a case of internal jugular phlebectasia and a review of the literature. The usual as well as unusual clinical presentations, aetiology, pathology and management are discussed.
