Helical and mul­ti­de­tec­tor CT has prov­en to be a val­u­able imag­ing modal­ity for ­both pul­mo­nary embo­lism and ­deep ­venous throm­bo­sis. This ­paper ­will ­review the sen­si­tiv­ity and spec­i­fic­ity of CT and dis­cuss diag­nos­tic algo­rithms uti­liz­ing CT and ­more estab­lished imag­ing tech­nol­o­gies.
