Complete res­o­lu­tion of a cere­bral gumma can take place after mas­sive cor­ti­cos­ter­oid treat­ment. Such a ­result in ­patients not known as syph­i­lit­ic can be mis­lead­ing and ham­per the iden­tifi­ca­tion of the true ­nature of the ­lesion.
