The world of job is changed, it is changing and is in continuous evolution, in parallel with the technological progress. Greater competences are always asked to the individual and above all it is asked flexibility and ability of adaptation. This has inevitably involved a modification of the individual-company relationship and to onset of pathologies such as the burn-out syndrome that can be considered a professional disease. In this article the burn-out syndrome is examined by the clinical point of view with reference to the present nosography and indications are furnished regarding the use of the same clinical picture in the medico-legal evaluation.
