The results of low vision rehabilitation of 32 school-age children are presented. After a screening of school-age children (age 6-10 years old), 32 low vision children (visual acuity 0.05-0.3) were found.
The patients were treated in the low vision Center of Varese, Department Ophthalmology (Chief Professor A. Tamborini).
The 32 patients obtained reading ability, tested with a standard test.
Reading ability was better for learning performance when children were treated in early age.
