Mauri F. 1, Robba T. 2, Carnazza G. 2

1 Medico Legale Libero Professionista, Torino, Italia;
2 Specialista in Radiodiagnostica, Torino, Italia

Aim: The purpose of this paper is to define the professional relationship that exists today between the insurance doctor and the specialist radiologist in order to identify salient points, critical elements and possible developments. In fact, the need to deal with the specialist radiologist, occurs with such frequency in the activity of the insurance doctor to be almost everyday.
Methods: Over the course of about a year, in collaboration with the Radiology Service of the clinic Pinna Pintor of Turin, were collected over 80 cases of medico-legal interest.
Results and conclusion: In the following discussion, will be displayed some examples from that series, emblematic of how the synergy between the insurance doctor and the specialist radiologist is fulfilled in their daily activity: we believe that the deliberately practical angle that we tried to give to the present paper will help to better highlight the practical utility of an effective collaboration between the insurance doctor, and the radiologist and, at the same time, to bring to light potential problems.
