The critical positions of medicolegal insurance toward the fluid borders in the rehabilitation of the medically ill and the non-ill subject are examined. The current discrepancy between norms regulating medical law and levels of professional certification has aggravated the situation, making medicolegal evaluation of compensable and reimbursable rehabilitation expenses objectively difficult. The focus of this article is on the priorities in framing the problem, the objectives to be achieved, and the remaining obstacles to overcome.
