Burn-out syndrome: a medico-legal view

The author, referring to an ample scientific literature review, concerning the researches about the burn-out syndrome (BOS), and particularly lingering on its psyco-dynamic distinctive features and social peculiarities, points some basic themes out, really significant by the medico-legal criterions to the forensic medicine, trying to delineate the principles that could constitute the general guidelines to come to an equitable compensation of the psychic biologic damage, caused by a syndrome actually strongly wide-spreading, especially in health-related and helping professions.
