PDF

The aim of this study is to explore the possibility of providing a new valuation approach to breast cancer, in the field of Social Insurances.
Therefore, the ''state of art'' on this neoplasm is reviewed, and some aspects are underlined, such us the new pathological classification, the risk factors and the prognostic factors that can provide effective information on the biological behaviour of the tumour.
These information are grouped in tables providing synoptic synthesis so that the reader can immediately see their prognostic value.
The conclusion is drawn that a correct arrangement of some of these factors is an effective tool for staging the biologic seriousness of neoplasm, which can provide useful information for evaluation.
