Private health insurance and professional football. Case series, insurance and medico-legal aspects

Agricola R., Bruno G. L., Genovese U., Macrì L.

PDF

The authors reviewed all cases of accidents occurring to one of the most important Italian football team, and analysed the methods of training and prevention of the same accidents. At the same time they analysed the insurance policy in that field and the medico-legal problems involved. Last but not least, the authors suggested a cooperation of the different health officers involved to bring about more or less substantial changes which could suite better the ensurance coverage to the needs of the different parts interested (sportman, team, ensurance company).
