FULL TEXT

The primed in situ labeling (PRINS) technique is an alternative method to the traditional Fluorescent in Situ Hybridization technique ( FISH ) for chromosome anomalyes identification. We developed a new simplified PRINS protocol and applied it to detect DNA alfoid sequences of chromosomes 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 21, 22, X and Y, either on meta-phase spreads and interphase nuclei. This modified protocol makes PRINS method more rapid for detecting chromosomal aneuploidies.
