The aim of this study was to assess significant differences of ventricular late potentials in 2 groups of 40 apparently healty athletes with frequent and/or complex ventricular arrhythmias, one with apparently healthy heart (Group A), one with cardiopathy or cardiological anomalies (Group B).
According to the Task Force standards, about 20% of arrythmic athletes in both groups showed ventricular late potentials.
In contrast with other studies, we don’t see signal avereged electrocardiography as a diagnostic and prognostic marker to detect risks of arrythmias in asymptomatic and apparently healthy-heart subjects.
