Short QT syndrome (SQTS) is an inheritable primary electric disease of the heart. It’s characterized by abnormally short QT intervals and an increased propensity to develop atrial and ventricular tachyarrhythmias. It’s a responsible for sudden cardiac death. Its presentation in the first year of life is associated with sudden infant death syndrome. SQTS was first described as a new clinical entity by Gussak et al in 2000 Since its initial introduction in 2000, significant progress has been made in defining genetic of the disease as well as approaches to therapy.
