The author with this review focuses his attention, through the use of the Guide Lines, on the state of the art related to feeding, nourishing principles, alimentary groups, as the correct approach to a dietary regime allows an effective promotion, attainment and maintenance of health. The choice of food depends on social, economic and affective motivations, but it is also affected by the abutment of knowledge that science and actual knowledge are able to offer us.
